Becoming a brother in Pi Lambda Phi does not mean that you are expected to give up any of your social or legal rights, personal ties, or any moral beleifs.

By becoming Pi Lam you gain invaluable experience and you go through a period of self-discovery where you find out exactly what kind of person you are. You learn experiences that will carry with you throughout your life: getting along with other people, working with a group to acheive a common goal, and a lot of personal character development.
